For years I have used some different methods for spooling line on my spinning reels with the goal of reducing as much line twist as possible. This product achieves that purpose and makes it easy, as far as I am concerned. I saw in some of the reviews, some people had problems.

After being frustrated rewinding my spinning reels with a pencil and vise creating a tangled and twisted mess, I decided to try this. Well, this is the reel deal. Easy to use. I had four different sized mono, braid, and fluoro lines to wind with different center holes. Had to use the included adapters with one. I attached the spooless reel to the Winder, pulled out a section of the new line and held it with blue painter's tape while I tied it to the empty spool, installed the spool, and clamped the new line in.

When it comes to spooling reels, there are a million ways to get it done, and in the case of spinning reels, a million ways to do it with line twist. The design of this keeps good tension on the spool of line while managing to remove line twist. It is very easy to use, the packaging doesn't take up much space and the spooler can go back in it's box when not in use. Very happy with this product, much better than the Berkley spooling station it replaced.

A line winder like this is the only way to eliminate line twist other than having your reel spool wound at a store. It works for both baitcasting reels (set the spooler to fixed position) and spinning reels (set the spooler to rotate freely). For spinning reels, the rotating head automatically matches the rotations between your reel and bulk spool.

This gadget is the best thing Iâve ever used to spool a spinning reel. Line tension was perfect. Absolutely no line twist. I re-spool my spinning reals at least twice a year and between my wife and I we have 10 reels to refill. I expect to get a lot of use out of this device. I have not used it for bait casting reels yet but I expect it will be fine because line twist is not usually a problem there.

cellent tool for the fisherman, works as advertised. Some small issues with line when there is not enough tension but minor issue compared to trying to get line on a spool solo without line twist. Works so far with mono, flouro and braid. I use a lot of 6lb flouro and have no issues with such a light line.

It is a well made device first off and feels very strong. I watched a few youtube videos first to see how others use it and it definitely helped. I have used it to spool a spinning reel and a bait caster. It is awesome how the spool of string spins with the reel preventing line twist. Being able to tighten down on the line spool allows for some decent tension on the line when spooling which helped on the bait caster. It is a great product that I know I will use for years.

This is a great product! I've used it on three of my reels already with great results.
I strongly suggest prior to spooling your reel, that you be sure to tighten the presure on the spool of line prior to cranking your reel. Don't overtighten, just make sure there is enough presure to hold the spool in place with some friction. Also lock the spool so it doesn't rotate while you tie the Arbor knot to your reel then be sure to unlock the spool before cranking your reel.

This was exactly what was needed for loading up my spinning reels with fresh line. My wife loved the fact that she could go do something interesting rather than be a fishing line spool holder. The ability to set the spool clamp into free rotation meant that my fishing line went on (and can cast off) my spinning reels without twisted line knots. This is a "must have" device for anyone serious about fishing. It is well built out of heavy-duty, quality materials. I expect it will last my lifetime and then some. It s a great product. It gets the job done in a simple and easy manner. One thing that I did notice is that you have to make sure you are reeling at the appropriate speed with the appropriate tension (using the top knob and middle wheel) or your line will not distribute evenly. I have 3 rods that are spooled nicely thanks to this device.
