Easy to use and much better than standard plier hook removers at grabbing the hook. Can be a little difficult on fish with small mouths that swallow the hook. Otherwise, highly recommended.

It has single handedly saved gotten out essentially every hook in every fish I have caught in the past year! Including a 6ft bull shark and the 3 old hooks it had in its mouth! Grab onto hook at any point and shake vigorously; even freed all gut hooked fish!

This is a handy way to remove hooks from fish, without getting your hand so close to the fish mouth to risk getting bit. There are several species of fish in the waters where I fish that have sharp teeth. This product is lightweight, rust and corrosion proof, and very easy to use. I highly recommend it.

Although I just received 3 of these and used them once fishing, they are very well made and identical to the mustad brand I have had for over a year. The price is great so I wont need to worry if the kids drop them overboard. The length is longer than my others which I really like for those toothy critters we come across often. Nice job. And the lanyard is excellent.

Works great. Like another reviewer mentioned, slight learning curve, but once you got it, you will wonder why you didnt have this before. Great for getting out gut swallowed hooks from fish you plan on keeping.

Went out fishing, caught a nice bass, the hook was swallows. First time using this and I had the hook out in 20 seconds. No more fumbling with needle nose pliers. Will be getting another one of these for my wife.

This hook remover is soooo much easier to use than the older style that is just a straight metal rod with a handle at one end and a u-curve in the other end. With this dehooker, I can get a good grip on the hook and then turn it in whatever direction it needs to be for the point of the hook to come of the fish mouth. I bought a different dehooker, same style as this one but a different brand the handle broke before I ever even got to use it. This one, I have already used it to release some large catfish and baby sharks and it worked great!
